Dear Star Wars Book Readers: Unfortunately, a policy change at Amazon has broken all the images on this site, and it would take many hours of tedious work to fix them all. Since the Book Finder tool doesn't seem to be very popular anyway, I'm planning to stop updating it for the foreseeable future. But if you have strong feelings about this (or suggestions), do feel free to let me know by email: books@yodasdatapad.com. You can still use the tool if you don't mind that the pictures are missing and it doesn't include the newest books.

Brotherhood

Brotherhood by Mike Chen

Though The Clone Wars TV show is part of the new Star Wars canon, there are still surprisingly few canon books about the Clone Wars period. But here comes a new one: Brotherhood is a story about Obi-Wan and Anakin coming to terms with working together as adults amid a galaxy at war. The story takes place in between Attack of the Clones and the beginning of The Clone Wars animated movie and TV show, and just after the Padmé novel Queen's Hope.

This will be the first Star Wars novel from author Mike Chen, though he did also write a short story for The Empire Strikes Back: From a Certain Point of View.

Thrawn: Alliances

Thrawn: Alliances by Timothy Zahn
Fans of Timothy Zahn's Grand Admiral Thrawn will be excited for this sequel to the blue-skinned genius's New Canon debut in the novel Thrawn. Set between Seasons 3 and 4 of the Star Wars: Rebels TV show, it features Thrawn teaming up with Darth Vader himself in a mission to the edge of the Unknown Regions. This is interwoven with a flashback story set during the Clone Wars, revealing how Thrawn first met Anakin Skywalker (and Padme too).

Parts of the book take place at Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu, the setting of Disney's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge theme parks.

Rogue Planet

Rogue Planet by Greg Bear
Released soon after The Phantom Menace, this was the first ever novel about Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice, the young Anakin Skywalker. In the story, Obi-Wan and Anakin are sent on a mission to strange planet where technology is grown rather than construction.

Rogue Planet is not only a book about Obi-Wan and Anakin learning to work together, but is also a prequel of sorts to the New Jedi Order series set 20 years after Return of the Jedi.
