Dear Star Wars Book Readers: Unfortunately, a policy change at Amazon has broken all the images on this site, and it would take many hours of tedious work to fix them all. Since the Book Finder tool doesn't seem to be very popular anyway, I'm planning to stop updating it for the foreseeable future. But if you have strong feelings about this (or suggestions), do feel free to let me know by email: books@yodasdatapad.com. You can still use the tool if you don't mind that the pictures are missing and it doesn't include the newest books.

The Medstar Duology

Medstar by Michael Reaves & Steve Perry
Inspired by the real-world sitcom M*A*S*H, this is a lovable pair of books about the varied characters who come together to work at a Republic battlefield hospital during the Clone Wars.

This is a prequel era series from the Legends timeline. It may be contradicted by newer books, movies, or TV shows (if so, just think of it as an alternate universe).

Coruscant Nights

Coruscant Nights by Michael Reaves
A memorable trilogy of character-driven adventures in the seedy underworld of the city planet Coruscant. Inspired by the film noir detective movies of the 1940s and 1950s, these books tell the story of a self-doubting Jedi survivor, a sarcastic droid, and a plucky ex-journalist who come together with other interesting characters to solve mysteries and join the budding resistance in the early days of the Empire.

Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor

Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor by Matthew Stover
An unusual but intersting novel from author Matthew Stover, known to Star Wars fans for the exceptional philosophical and emotional depth of novels like Shatterpoint, Traitor, and the Revenge of the Sith novelization.

Dismayed by sensational film portrayals of his exploits for the Rebel Alliance, the self-critical Luke Skywalker finds himself caught up in an all new B-movie adventure, facing off against a mysterious dark side foe who has a theatrical side of his own. Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor is a self-consciously pulpy adventure that winkingly explores the sometimes unclear relationship between reality and fiction (while still staying strictly within the Star Wars universe).

X-Wing: Starfighters of Adumar

X-Wing: Starfighters of Adumar by Aaron Allston
This late installment in the X-Wing series is remembered by fans as a masterpiece of humor mixed with seriousness. The story focuses on Rogue Squadron old-timers Wedge Antilles, Hobbie Klivian, Tycho Celchu, and Wes Janson, sent to earn the loyalty of a long-lost planet that now must decide between joining the New Republic or the Imperial Remnant. The mission will prove to be a test of the pilots' diplomatic skill as well as their flying expertise.

X-Wing: Mercy Kill

X-Wing: Mercy Kill by Aaron Allston
Two generations of Wraith Squadron special forces pilots join up in a race to outsmart a corrupt alliance general. A bit short on X-Wings and space action, but a must-read for fans of this squadron of misfits and pranksters.
