Most Wanted

Most Wanted by Rae Carson
The new Solo: A Star Wars Story movie is out now, and fans who want to know more about the background of Han Solo and Qi'ra can check out this new book that just came out with the movie!

Written by Rae Carson, one of the authors of the Canto Bight book, Most Wanted tells the story of Han and Qi'ra's early involvement in the galaxy's criminal underworld as teenagers, before the events of the Solo film.

Though officially a young adult novel, Most Wanted is 400 pages long and a part of the same more-mature publishing line as Lost Stars, Leia, Princess of Alderaan, and other great books.

Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View

Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View by various authors
This book isn't actually a novel, but something much more special: To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the original Star Wars movie, dozens of authors came together to write 40 short stories, each one retelling part of the movie from a new perspective. Most of the stories are told from the point of view of a minor background character or other onlooker to the events of the movie.

As if that wasn't cool enough, the authors all contributed for free, with the publisher donating the proceeds to charity.

This is the first New Canon take on background characters from Episode IV: A New Hope, but if you can't get enough, also check out Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina in the Legends alternate timeline!

Canto Bight

Canto Bight by Saladin Ahmed, Rae Carson, Mira Grant, and John Jackson Miller
Canto Bight is the galaxy's most luxurious Casino City, and one of the settings of the new movie Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. In this book, four star authors each contribute a short novella about the lives of the people living in and visiting this city, and the gambles they must take to survive in a world where beauty is only a facade. The stories are based on background characters from The Last Jedi.
